ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Board of Governors Chair Shannon MacDonald and President Wendy Rodgers shared the Year 2 Implementation Plan for the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Action Plan in a message emailed to ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students, staff and faculty on May 1, 2025.

Each year, the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Co-operative Education Program recognizes its exceptional students and employers with the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Co-op Awards. The winners of the 2024 awards were Rosie Legault, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Science Co-op Student of the Year; Carol Edzeame, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Arts Co-op Student of the Year; Diya Bubna, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Business Co-op Student of the Year; and MRSB Group, Co-op Employer of the Year.

The ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering (FSDE) showcased a wide range of innovative design projects in sustainable design engineering by its students at the annual Student Design Expo on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. 

Dr. Rhonda Hamilton, a graduate of the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï (ºÚÁϳԹÏ), is the winner of the College’s 2024 Atlantic Award of Excellence in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Care.

Red Dress Day is a National Day of Awareness and Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Gender Diverse Peoples (MMIWG2S) that takes place on May 5. It is a day to remember, to learn, and to take action.

ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Lawson Drake, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Founder, former dean of science, retired professor and founding chair of the Department of Biology, and Prince of Wales College alumnus on April 23, 2025, in Charlottetown. 

The fourth in this series of President's town halls in the 2025 winter semester, Let's 'talk' SDGs, will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025. For this town hall, there will be a broad introduction to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) along with a discussion on how they relate to ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï and the work that we do. 

The ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï will honour four outstanding leaders with honorary degrees during Convocation 2025, which will take place from May 13 to 16. Over 1,200 students are set to graduate over four ceremonies, which start at 10:00 am each day at the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre.

The 2025 Asian Studies International Speaker Series talks, held on March 27 and April 3, were very successful, said Dr. Edward Chung, director of Asian Studies and the Centre for Korean Studies at ºÚÁϳԹÏ.

The Fair Treatment Policy Redevelopment Committee emailed ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students, staff, and faculty on April 22, inviting them to provide feedback on the draft ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Harassment and Discrimination Policy through an online form.
