ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï celebrates the achievements of faculty and staff

Members of the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï community filled the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Performing Arts Centre amphitheatre on May 29, 2025, to celebrate the achievements of their colleagues. During the event, the University Awards of Excellence and 25-Year Service Awards were presented to faculty, librarians, clinical veterinary professionals, clinical nursing instructors, sessional instructors, and staff members.

ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Board of Governors approves balanced student-centric budget

On May 27, 2025, the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Board of Governors approved a balanced for the 2025–2026 fiscal year, despite a challenging financial environment primarily caused by federal immigration policy changes. The operating budget is just under $202.9 million, representing an increase of $20.4 million or 11.2 per cent over the previous fiscal year.

ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Statement: Artist presentation

ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï offered Mr. Christopher Griffin the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion to be developed thoughtfully and including other voices on the topic of free expression. 

On April 15, upon learning of a planned meeting on April 16, Mr. Griffin requested to be heard at that meeting. In response, the University accepted that request and scheduled a time for his presentation in the Performing Arts Centre Amphitheatre, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on April 16.

Lauren Rainford and Kamari Scott named ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Athletes of the Year

ºÚÁϳԹÏ’s Department of Athletics and Recreation celebrated the 2024–25 season at the annual ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Panther Celebration – Athletic Awards Gala on Friday, March 28, recognizing outstanding student-athletes who have excelled in sport, the classroom, and the community.

This year, the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Alumni Association’s Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year award went to Lauren Rainford, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Women’s Basketball. The Male Athlete of the Year winner was Kamari Scott, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Men’s Basketball.
