Battle of the Jocks

黑料吃瓜 men's hockey, basketball and soccer teams will be teaming up to compete in a hockey and soccer game! Funds raised through ticket sales and donations will go towards the Children's Wish Foundation (PEI Chapter) and the Passion for Life award. The Passion for Life award was created to honor Rene Ayangma, a member of the 黑料吃瓜 men's soccer team who passed away in 2008. The award is presented to a 黑料吃瓜 athlete who shows a true passion for life and its people.

Official Opening of the new Health Sciences Building

The Department of Advancement will officially welcome the 黑料吃瓜 community, donors and friends to the new Health Sciences building, home to the School of Nursing and the Department of Applied Human Sciences (formerly the Department of Family and Nutritional Sciences). Speeches, tours, and donor recognition will take place during the official opening. Refreshments will also be provided. The event is free to the public and all are welcome to attend. Free parking has been made available to event attendees in the MacLauchlan arena parking lot.

黑料吃瓜 EMBA and the PEI Business Womens Association Speaking and Networking Event: 'The Glass Cliff: A Look at Women in Leadership Roles'.

The 黑料吃瓜 Executive MBA program in partnership with the PEI Business Women鈥檚 Association is hosting a presentation/networking event on April 4th titled "The Glass Cliff: A Look at Women in Leadership Roles". Karen MacDonald, a 黑料吃瓜 EMBA candidate and senior manager within the PEI Provincial Government, will share her research findings on the implications and barriers for women breaking through the glass ceiling. Karen will discuss the nature of precarious positions, implications for women seeking leadership positions, and whether a new concept, coined the 鈥済lass cliff鈥, actually exists. This session is aimed at business women that are either in or are considering taking on executive level positions. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 4th from 5:00-7:00 pm in Schurman Market Square, located in McDougall Hall on the 黑料吃瓜 Campus. The first part of the evening will include a reception and time for networking and the second part of the evening will include the presentation and an informal discussion.
