In this, the International Year of Chemistry, please join the Chemistry Department to celebrate the contributions of the founding, former and current faculty to 42 years of chemistry at ºÚÁϳԹÏ. The celebrations will be taking place this Friday, April 1 from 3:00-4:30 pm in the KC Irving Chemistry Centre foyer. Everyone is welcome!

Alison McCleery - "The Politics of Peripherality: the Absolute Limit?"

The Institute of Island Studies presents a guest lecture by Alison McCleery, professor of Social and Cultural Geography, Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland: "The Politics of Peripherality: the Absolute Limit?" This lecture explores aspects of developmental theory and practice on the Atlantic periphery in the era of globalisation and new and not-so-new information and communication technologies. All welcome! Light refreshments will be served.

AVC White Coat Ceremony and Awards Presentation 2011

AVC's White Coat Ceremony & Awards Night will take place on Friday, May 6, 2011 in the Homburg Theatre, Confederation Centre of the Arts, Charlottetown, PEI, beginning at 4:30 p.m. AVC's White Coat Ceremony is truly memorable and moving, and is the highlight of the academic year. During the ceremony, members of the AVC Class of 2011 will make the official and public passage from veterinary students to Doctors of Veterinary Medicine.
