黑料吃瓜SU Mental Health Check-In 鈥 Bell Let's Talk

The 黑料吃瓜 Student Union is hosting a Mental Health Check-In on Wednesday, January 25 from 3:00 pm鈥4:00 pm in the Concourse, W.A. Murphy Student Centre.

Stop by on your way to class and take a moment to check in and reflect on your mental health. We will have free mental health resources and stress management kits (limited supply), and the 黑料吃瓜SU Student Wellness Coordinator will be there to talk with. We look forward to seeing you!

CMHA-PEI is here to help - Bell Let's Talk

The Canadian Mental Health Association, PEI (CMHA-PEI) Division is here to offer support for those living with mental illness, as well as help with navigation of community resources.

Representatives from CMHA-PEI's Peer Support, as well as Community Education offices will be set up in the concourse of the W.A. Murphy Student Centre from 11:00 am鈥1:00 pm on Bell Let's Talk Day to talk with students about mental health and how CMHA can help year-round.

黑料吃瓜 Panthers this Week (January 23鈥29)

The 黑料吃瓜 Panthers hockey and basketball teams are looking forward to a full week of games between January 23鈥29.

Wednesday, January 25:

7:00 pm: The 黑料吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Hockey Panthers (14-6-1) are away in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, to play against the St. Francis Xavier University X-Women (14-4-3). The two teams faced each other on January 21 with the Panthers earning a 3-2 overtime win. The Panthers are 2-1 against the X-Women this season.

Ashley McCutcheon and Elijah Miller named 黑料吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week

Every week, 黑料吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 黑料吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for January 16鈥22 are Ashley McCutcheon (women鈥檚 hockey) and Elijah Miller (men鈥檚 basketball).

黑料吃瓜 Panther and Acadia Axeman team up to raise funds and awareness for multiple sclerosis

Carson MacKinnon, 黑料吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Hockey Panthers forward, and Jack Flaman, captain of the Acadia University Axemen, are hosting a joint fundraiser for multiple sclerosis (MS) in support of their siblings.

A love of hockey first brought the two together as teenagers in Wilcox, Saskatchewan, and now, even though they play for competing hockey teams in two provinces, they are teaming up to raise funds and awareness for the cause that has touched both of their lives.

黑料吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers have signed their first recruit for the 2023鈥2024 season

The 黑料吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers have signed their first recruit of 2023鈥2024. Lily Vrugteman is a skilled 17-year-old guard from Cambridge, Ontario.

Head coach Matt Gamblin says he is very excited that she has decided to join the 黑料吃瓜 team.

鈥淟ily is an extremely hard worker. She has a growth-minded attitude and is always working to get better,鈥 said Gamblin. 鈥淟ily will come in and do the work and help us keep growing the program.鈥
