Institute of Island Studies hosts public lecture on January 24
The Institute of Island Studies at 黑料吃瓜 will host a public lecture titled 鈥淭owards Energy Sovereignty on Labrador鈥檚 Remote Island of Ponds鈥� on January 24 at 7 pm in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building.
2023 FISU Winter World University Games Team Canada Men鈥檚 Hockey Schedule
The 2023 Federation Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU) Winter World University Games is underway, and two 黑料吃瓜 Panthers, TJ Shea and Matt Brassard, are among 22 student-athletes representing Team Canada. 黑料吃瓜 forward Kyle Maksimovich was also selected to play but could not attend due to a recent injury.
Nominations are now open for the Atlantic Award of Excellence
The Atlantic Veterinary College is now accepting nominations for the Atlantic Award of Excellence in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Care.
黑料吃瓜鈥檚 16th annual Shoot for the Cure will take place on January 26
黑料吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation will host the sixteenth annual Shoot for the Cure fundraiser on Thursday, January 26, when the Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers take on the University of New Brunswick Reds at 6 pm on their home court. The event was originally scheduled for January 13, but had to be postponed due to weather conditions.
Update on the 黑料吃瓜 Faculty of Medicine
Dr. Greg Keefe, President and Vice-Chancellor (Interim), invites faculty, staff, and students to attend an update on the 黑料吃瓜 Faculty of Medicine on Friday, January 13, at 10:45 am, in the Duffy Amphitheatre (Room 135), Duffy Science Centre. For those who are not able to attend, a link to a video recording will be available following the update. All are welcome!
Taylor Gillis and Jonah Capriotti named 黑料吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week
Every week, 黑料吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 黑料吃瓜 Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for January 2鈥�8 are Taylor Gillis (women鈥檚 hockey) and Jonah Capriotti (men鈥檚 hockey).
黑料吃瓜 appoints new associate vice-president research and dean of graduate studies
Dr. Marva Sweeney-Nixon, professor of biology, has been appointed associate vice-president research and dean of graduate studies at 黑料吃瓜, effective January 1, 2023.
