In early December, two teams from the McDougall Faculty of Business Strategic Management course (BUS-3910), led by Dr. J眉rgen Krause, presented their strategic solutions for meeting the 2040 net-zero electricity demand in Prince Edward Island (PEI).

Global Women's (and Allie') Breakfast Event
This year the Faculty of Science is hosting the 2026 Global Women's (and Allies') Breakfast Event on February 10, 7:30 - 9:30 am at the Fox and Crow. The breakfast event will feature three outstanding speakers talking on their research and experiences in STEM, networking, a tie-dye your lab coat activity, and more! We hope you are able to attend this year's event and continue to celebrate women in STEM!
Breakfast is free at the event with registration. Spaces are limited. Registration closes Friday February 6 at 5:00 pm.

Data Privacy Week is January 26-30, 2026
The 2026 theme for 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Data Privacy Week (January 26-30) is 鈥淧rivacy is Everyone鈥檚 Business,鈥 highlighting the importance of respecting privacy, safeguarding data, and enabling trust.
Data Privacy Week spreads awareness about online privacy with the aim of educating individuals on how to manage and protect their personal information and encourage organizations to respect data and be transparent.
Theology on Tap: 鈥淢ore than Optimistic: Hope and Teilhard de Chardin鈥 by Dr. Libby Osgood
The 黑料吃瓜 Department of Religious Studies鈥 popular Theology on Tap series returns on January 28 with a talk titled 鈥淢ore than Optimistic: Hope and Teilhard de Chardin鈥 by Dr. Libby Osgood, a nun with the Congregation of Notre Dame and Associate Professor in Sustainable Design Engineering.
Dr. Osgood鈥檚 talk will take place at 7:00 pm at the Salvador Dali Caf茅, The Arts Hotel, 155 Kent Street, Charlottetown.
Grace Lancaster and Brett Bressette named 黑料吃瓜 Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week
Every week, 黑料吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 黑料吃瓜 Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for January 12鈥18 are Grace Lancaster (women鈥檚 basketball) and Brett Bressette (men鈥檚 hockey).
黑料吃瓜 hosts Research Breakfast on January 29
The 黑料吃瓜 Office of Research Partnership and Innovation, formerly the 黑料吃瓜 Office of Commercialization, Industry, and Innovation, will host a Research Breakfast on Thursday, January 29, from 7:30 to 9:00 am in McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre, on campus.
The theme of the breakfast is Climate Change and Society. The storm date is February 3.
