Calling all Panthers! On Friday, February 13, we鈥檙e inviting students, staff, faculty, and alumni to join us at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre for a Paper Airplane Toss during halftime at the Women鈥檚 basketball game!

Meet the Veterans Affairs Canada Student Ambassador at 黑料吃瓜

Would you like to learn more about employment opportunities with the federal government? The Veterans Affairs Canada Student Ambassador at 黑料吃瓜 will help you access federal employment opportunities and navigate the application process for student programs like the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP). He will assist with inquiries related to Veterans Affairs Canada and offer advice on securing federal positions after graduation.

What brought you to 黑料吃瓜? Why did you choose to teach here?

I grew up in Kensington, Prince Edward Island and as a 黑料吃瓜 Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) graduate myself, I experienced first-hand the supportive learning community here. After working in clinical practice and returning for my Master of Nursing, I was drawn back to 黑料吃瓜 because of its commitment to primary health care, student-centered teaching, and innovation in simulation-based education.

The 黑料吃瓜 honours its rich heritage and traditions by acknowledging members of the campus community who have contributed to its mission in an exceptional way by naming them 鈥淔ounders,鈥� an initiative established by President Emeritus Wade MacLauchlan in 2000. 黑料吃瓜 is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Founders.

AWAY:
The 黑料吃瓜 Men鈥檚 and Women鈥檚 Curling Panthers compete in the AUS Curling Championships from January 15鈥�18 at the Capital Winter Club in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Friday, January 16
AT HOME:
6:00 pm: The 黑料吃瓜 Women鈥檚 Basketball Panthers host the University of New Brunswick Reds at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. 

Regan Cornford and Jakob Robillard named 黑料吃瓜 Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week

Every week, 黑料吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 黑料吃瓜 Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for January 6鈥�11 are Regan Cornford (women鈥檚 basketball) and Jakob Robillard (men鈥檚 hockey).

Cornford is a first-year science student-athlete from Chateauguay, Quebec, who is quietly putting together an AUS All-Rookie Team-worthy season. In the team鈥檚 January 9 win over Dalhousie University, Cornford scored 10 points with eight rebounds and two steals off the bench.
