Did you apply to Dalhousie or Memorial Medical School this fall? Are you anticipating or confirmed you have an interview? Congratulations! I would like to help you prepare for this interview. My goal is to provide you all with some helpful foundational knowledge for virtual interviews, as well as answer any questions you may have to help you be as prepared as possible.

PEI Symphony Orchestra concert features ºÚÁϳԹÏ’s Dr. Dale Sorensen

An upcoming performance of the PEI Symphony Orchestra (PEISO) will feature Dr. Dale Sorensen, principal trombonist for the orchestra and an assistant professor of brass at ºÚÁϳԹÏ. The PEISO will perform Antonín Dvorák’s popular Symphony No. 9 in E Minor, better known as his New World Symphony, on November 21 at 2:30 pm, at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.

In addition to the New World Symphony, the program also includes Dvorák’s Carnival Overture and the seldom-played Trombone Concerto in C by Italian film composer Nino Rota.

Winter’s Tales presents PEI’s newest novelist, Olivia Robinson

Olivia Robinson was born in the Annapolis Valley and moved to PEI with her family. She blossomed as a creative writer not among the Valley’s orchards, but on the Island and at ºÚÁϳԹÏ, and then at Memorial University and in Newfoundland and Labrador’s literary community.

That cultivation has yielded her debut novel, The Blue Moth Motel, from Newfoundland and Labrador’s esteemed publisher Breakwater Books. The PEI launch of her book will take place on Thursday, November 18, at 7:30 pm in The Carriage House at Beaconsfield Historic House, 2 Kent Street, Charlottetown.

ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï names new Jeanne and J.-Louis Lévesque Research Professors in Nutrisciences and Health

The ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï has named three of faculty members as the recipients of the Jeanne and J.-Louis Lévesque Research Professorships in Nutrisciences and Health. Each professorship will be supported over the next three years with an annual grant of $10,000 and up to $25,000 to permit replacement for teaching or other duties. This Hallowe’en weekend will see home action every day for the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Panthers. Join us for a pair of games for ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Women’s Hockey and the home-openers for ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Men’s and Women’s Basketball, including a championship celebration for the accomplishments of the 2019–2020 women’s basketball team!

The action starts on Friday evening at 7 pm in the MacLauchlan Arena as ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Women’s Hockey hosts the Dalhousie Tigers.
