黑料吃瓜 bovine mastitis research supported by New Frontiers of Research Fund

A research project by Dr. Marya Ahmed, an assistant professor of chemistry at the 黑料吃瓜, is being supported by the Government of Canada鈥檚 (NFRF). Dr. Ahmed is exploring methods to use short strings of amino acids, known as peptides, as a replacement to traditional treatments of mastitis infections in dairy cows. The NFRF is contributing $250,000 to this project.

Good things come in threes: 黑料吃瓜 cross country recruits a trio of star runners from Colonel Gray

When Mike Peterson agreed to return as 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 cross country head coach in the summer of 2019, his first order of business was to retain Prince Edward Island鈥檚 best talent. He has done just that, recruiting a trio of strong runners from Charlottetown鈥檚 Colonel Gray High School: twin sisters Katie and Grace Richard, and Maya Abou ElNaja

黑料吃瓜 Panther Pitch competition

This year, the 黑料吃瓜 launched the first-ever 黑料吃瓜 Panther Pitch competition as part of the Harry W. MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program. In January, twenty-five student teams were chosen to compete for support to develop their ventures. Since the competition launch, these teams have been receiving coaching from experienced mentors and refining their business plan to potentially win a portion of $45,000 in prize money to support their startup ventures.

Three 黑料吃瓜 projects supported by PEI Climate Challenge Fund

The province of Prince Edward Island announced the recipients of its on Thursday, February 25. Three of the projects are led by scholars at the 黑料吃瓜. The fund is designed to help Islanders adapt to climate change, develop new technologies and opportunities, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in innovative ways.

黑料吃瓜 athletes and events recognized at the 47th annual Sport PEI Amateur Sport Awards

黑料吃瓜 was well represented in the list of winners at the 47th annual Sport PEI Amateur Sport Awards ceremony. The annual event was held Thursday night at the Confederation Centre of the Arts鈥 Homburg Theatre.

黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Women鈥檚 Basketball team was named the CBC PEI Team of the Year. The Panthers had a historic season in 2019鈥2020, winning the AUS title and taking home bronze at the U SPORTS national championships.
