Javier Sanchez and Luke Heider, AVC鈥檚 Department of Health Management, is developing a surveillance program to measure antimicrobial use (AMU) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) on Canadian dairy farms, and the effectiveness of antimicrobial stewardship protocols and programs. The team has developed a platform called the Canadian Dairy Network of Antimicrobial Stewardship and Resistance (CaDNetASR) to collect data and monitor AMU and AMR. This new platform is a first for the dairy sector.
