AVC graduate named Hawaiian monk seal conservation veterinarian
Dr. Sophie Whoriskey, AVC Class of 2013, has been named Hawaiian monk seal conservation veterinarian at Ke Kai Ola, the Marine Mammal Center鈥檚 hospital for Hawaiian monk seals in Kona, Hawai鈥檌.
In a media release announcing Whoriskey鈥檚 appointment, the said that she is an emerging leader in marine mammal health issues and is passionate about translating her scientific work and research into the conservation of the endangered Hawaiian monk seal.
