Calling all L.M. Montgomery fans: Share your origin stories!

A scholarly project is seeking personal 鈥渙rigin stories鈥 from fans of iconic Island writer L.M. Montgomery. Co-led by Dr. Kate Scarth, 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Chair of L.M. Montgomery Studies and Applied Communication, Leadership, and Culture, and tenured professor turned writer , the project aims to gather fans鈥 stories about their Montgomery experiences, including how they first encountered the author鈥檚 work, as well as information about themselves and their reading and/or viewing.

黑料吃瓜 women鈥檚 hockey adds Mount Academy鈥檚 all-time points leader Sophie Bujold

Bruce Donaldson, head coach of 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 women鈥檚 hockey team, has recruited Sophie Bujold, of Riverview, New Brunswick, to play for the Panthers.

Bujold鈥檚 hockey resum茅 is easy to get excited about, as she is a proven scoring threat. In the last two seasons with the Mount Academy Saints, the 18-year-old compiled 102 points in 95 games. It is no wonder Donaldson decided to pursue the skilled forward.

黑料吃瓜 men鈥檚 soccer recruits Kasper Lasia

黑料吃瓜 men鈥檚 soccer coach Lewis Page may have found his midfielder of the future in Ottawa native Kasper Lasia.

Lasia joins a team that suddenly became young at a pivotal position now that Ignacio Sanchez and Lucas Ross have graduated, but Page is confident in the young footballer.

鈥淜asper is a real box-to-box midfielder,鈥 he said. 鈥淗e鈥檚 good in the air, he can defend, and he鈥檚 an excellent passer of the ball.鈥

Let鈥檚 celebrate the 黑料吃瓜 Class of 2020, May 15!

The Class of 2020 from the 黑料吃瓜 is one for the history books. The 2019鈥2020 academic year began with celebrating 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 50th anniversary and ended in the midst of a global pandemic which kept students, faculty, and staff physically apart.  Graduating students persevered. They put in the work; they gave their time, they demonstrated their intelligence and creativity, and they succeeded!

黑料吃瓜 Faculty of Education鈥檚 Barbara Jane Brewster awarded doctoral fellowship from SSHRC

Barbara Jane Brewster, a PhD student in 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Faculty of Education, has been awarded a doctoral fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). The $80,000 fellowship will allow Brewster to continue her research in the area of mathematics anxiety.

Faculty of Business Enactus team places in virtual competition

Students from the 黑料吃瓜 Faculty of Business recently competed in the . The regional competition was held virtually this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. The Enactus 黑料吃瓜 team participated in three categories and took home hardware in each.

Students submitted five-minute video presentations for each challenge, narrated by two students from the team. The results were announced in a live stream hosted on Enactus Canada鈥檚 Facebook page.
