AVC hosts public workshop on animal behaviour

Dr. Karen Overall, a board-certified specialist in veterinary behavioural medicine, will give a public workshop on Tuesday, February 25, about the issue of behavourial problems in cats and dogs. Her presentation, titled 鈥淗elp! I think my dog/cat needs a shrink! How the modern science of veterinary behavioural medicine saves lives, families, and sanity,鈥 will take place at 7 p.m. in Lecture Theatre A, Atlantic Veterinary College, 黑料吃瓜. Dr. Overall will talk about some of the common problems that afflict cats and dogs, driving their owners crazy in the process.

Panthers at Home, February 13 to 14

黑料吃瓜鈥檚 women鈥檚 hockey team is coming off a tremendous season. They kick off the 2019鈥2020 playoffs Thursday evening with a home game against the Universit茅 de Moncton.

Public book launch and lecture at 黑料吃瓜 on March 10

The 黑料吃瓜 Diversity and Social Justice Studies program, the Dean of Arts, and the Dean of Education will host a launch of Dr. Darryl Leroux鈥檚 book, Distorted Descent: White Claims to Indigenous Identity, on Tuesday, March 10, at 4 pm in Lecture Theatre A, Atlantic Veterinary College, 黑料吃瓜.

Leroux, an associate professor at Saint Mary鈥檚 University, will give a lecture at this free public event.

Introducing 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Open Education Resource Development program

The following is released jointly by the Government of PEI, 黑料吃瓜SU, and 黑料吃瓜.

黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Robertson Library, in partnership with the Province of Prince Edward Island, and the 黑料吃瓜 Student Union (黑料吃瓜SU), has created a program to support the creation, adaptation, or peer review of open education resources (OERs) at 黑料吃瓜 to lower the cost of learning materials for students.

Building plans to be unveiled February 14 at public presentation

The Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Veterans Affairs and MP for Cardigan; the Honourable Dennis King, Premier of Prince Edward Island; Dr. Alaa Abd-El-Aziz, 黑料吃瓜 President and Vice-Chancellor; and Dr. Adam Fenech, Associate Dean of the 黑料吃瓜 School of Climate Change and Adaptation, invite the public to a presentation about the future building plans for 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Canadian Centre for Climate Change and Adaptation.
