There are just a few more days to reserve your tickets to the 黑料吃瓜 Sports Legacy Celebration on November 14, where the newest members of the 黑料吃瓜 Sports Hall of Fame will be inducted. Tessa Roche, Vernon Pahl, and the 1984鈥85 黑料吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Hockey team will be the 48, 49, and 50th inductees, respectively, bringing the total membership of the 黑料吃瓜 Sports Hall of Fame to 50.

Indigenizing and Decolonizing Reading Group

The decolonizing reading group is meeting again on Monday, November 18, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm, in Memorial 308. Come join your colleagues in a discussion about knowledge and research and some important questions that a concentration on decolonizing raises around these central focuses of our profession. We'll be discussing the Introduction and Chapter One of Decolonizing Methodologies: Research and Indigenous Peoples, by Linda Tuhiwai Smith (2012).

Prospective students invited to 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Fall Open House 2019 November 8

Students interested in attending 黑料吃瓜 are invited to attend the University鈥檚 Fall Open House 2019 on Friday, November 8, from 9 am to 12:30 pm. The event kicks off at 9 am in the WA Murphy Student Centre with a Student Services Fair and transcript drop-off. Application fees will be waived. Students can attend events and tours hosted by the Faculties of Arts, Business, Nursing, Science, and Sustainable Design Engineering. The morning wraps up with a 鈥淏ecoming a Panther Party鈥 in the student centre building, featuring live music, giveaways, and activities.

Winter's Tales presents Ami McKay

The 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Winter鈥檚 Tales Reading Series and Charlottetown鈥檚 independent bookstore, The Bookmark, are pleased to present an evening with Nova Scotia writer Ami McKay, discussing her new book, Daughter of Family G: A Memoir of Cancer Genes, Love and Fate. The event will take place Thursday, November 7, at 7 pm at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery, 145 Richmond St, Charlottetown. This is a free event, and everyone is invited.
