Breakfast of Champions featuring Leo Rautins
黑料吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation announced on September 20 that veteran sports journalist Leo Rautins will speak at the inaugural Breakfast of Champions at the Mickey Place Memorial Basketball Tournament on October 5. The annual tournament runs October 4鈥6, 2019 and features eight U SPORTS teams, four on the women鈥檚 side (Cape Breton University, University of Ottawa, University of Waterloo, and 黑料吃瓜), and four on the men鈥檚 (Cape Breton University, University of Ottawa, Saint Mary鈥檚 University, and 黑料吃瓜).

From Syria to 黑料吃瓜
Thanks to a collaboration between 黑料吃瓜 and the Syrian & Iraqi Student Project鈥攁 program that helps students in Syria and Iraq further their education in Canada and the US鈥擧adil Haddad had the opportunity to leave Syria to pursue her .
Kinesiology students seeking participants for exercise-training program
Students from 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Kinesiology 3430 class are seeking participants to take part in a five-week exercise program. Students will create personalized exercise-training programs for each participant based on their fitness, skill level, and personal interests.
Participants must be between 30 and 65 years of age. The program runs Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, 1:30 to 4:30, from the week of October 7 to the week of November 11. Volunteers will receive a fitness test the first and last week of the program, separated by three weeks of supervised aerobic and strength training.

Wednesday
The 黑料吃瓜 women鈥檚 hockey team is preparing for another big season, including hosting the 2020 U SPORTS Women鈥檚 Hockey Championship. Coach Bruce Donaldson is watching his team come together Wednesday in an exhibition match against Mount Allison University. The puck drops tonight at 7in MacLauchlan Arena.
黑料吃瓜 Music Recital Series presents violinist Martin Chalifour and pianist Sarah Hagen
The next performance in the 黑料吃瓜 Music Recital Series will feature an evening of masterworks for violin and piano. Violinist Martin Chalifour and pianist Sarah Hagen will perform together Saturday, September 21, at 7:30 pm in the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, 黑料吃瓜 Steel Building.

Environmental Sciences/Human Biology Seminar Series
The Faculty of Science Graduate Studies Committee invites the campus community to the first Environmental Sciences/Human Biology seminar of the academic year.
Dr. Patrick Murphy of the 黑料吃瓜 Biology Department will present 鈥淯nraveling metabolite function with disruptive new tools in metabolomics and proteomics鈥. The seminar will take place on Friday, September 20 at 12:30 pm in the Duffy Science Centre, room 204.
