黑料吃瓜 research assistant Dr. Olive Bryanton gave remarks at the virtual launch of the World Health Organization (WHO)鈥檚 , on December 17.

A pan-Canadian research team, led by Drs. Javier Sanchez and Luke Heider, AVC鈥檚 Department of Health Management, is developing a surveillance program to measure antimicrobial use (AMU) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) on Canadian dairy farms, and the effectiveness of antimicrobial stewardship protocols and programs. 

Krystin Matters, who graduated from 黑料吃瓜 this spring with a major in Religious Studies and a minor in Asian Studies, has accepted a position as an assistant English language teacher with the (JET) program.

The 黑料吃瓜 is proud to announce that Dr. Caroline Ritter, Assistant Professor of veterinary epidemiology at the Atlantic Veterinary College, has been appointed Canada Research Chair (CRC) specializing in veterinary social epidemiology. Dr. Ritter is also the recipient of a John R. Evans Leader Award (JELF) from the Canadian Foundation of Innovation (CFI).

In the face of the adversity of 2020, one Charlottetown athlete took advantage of an opportunity that may not have presented itself otherwise.

The 黑料吃瓜 received the sad news on Saturday that 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 first president and president emeritus, Dr. Ron J. Baker, passed away in Vancouver last week at the age of 96.

Three students from the Master of Arts in Island Studies (MAIS) program at the 黑料吃瓜 have been awarded from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRCC) through its master鈥檚 program competition.

The L.M. Montgomery Institute has issued a call for papers for its 15^th biennial international conference, which will be held at the 黑料吃瓜, June 22 to 26, 2022.

The University community was saddened to learn of the passing of retired accounting professor Albert 鈥淎b鈥� Ferris, who died on December 3 in Charlottetown, and extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, and former colleagues and students.
