In a message issued on March 5, Shannon MacDonald, chair of the 黑料吃瓜 Board of Governors, invited the campus community to attend upcoming fireside chats with the finalist candidates for the 黑料吃瓜 presidential search.

| Athletics

黑料吃瓜 Track and Field competitor Alaere Peterside will compete in the U SPORTS Track and Field Championship this weekend in Winnipeg. The championship is being hosted by the University of Manitoba at the James Daly Fieldhouse from March 7鈥9, 2024.

The 黑料吃瓜 (黑料吃瓜) is pleased to welcome Scott Gosse as the new manager of Security Services. Gosse will oversee a variety of operations that serve to protect and provide for the ongoing safety of the people, property, and information resources of the University community.

The 2024 Summer Job and Career Fair, hosted by 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Experiential Education department, will take place on March 13, 2024, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre.

The 黑料吃瓜 Faculty of Nursing, in collaboration with the PEI Department of Health and Wellness, held its Scrub Coat Ceremony on February 27, 2024, at the 黑料吃瓜 Performing Arts Centre. The ceremony was a celebration of 67 first-year undergraduate nursing students and 16 first-year accelerated nursing students.

Dr. Edward MacDonald, CM, an award-winning professor of history at 黑料吃瓜 and Island historian, will give his 鈥渓ast lecture鈥 to students in 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 University 100 program on Wednesday, March 13, at 4:30 pm in SDU Main Building, Room 117.

In January 2024, the Atlantic Veterinary College鈥檚 dairy vet team again went to Kenya as part of the partnership between Farmers Helping Farmers.

| Seminar/Conference

An organizing committee, made up of 黑料吃瓜 faculty and staff, has announced that a full-day Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigenization, and Decolonization (EDIID) Symposium will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Dr. Carla DiGiorgio's new book, Inclusive Education: A Global Perspective, will be launched on March 12 at 4:30 pm in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building.

| Athletics

Every week, 黑料吃瓜 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 黑料吃瓜 Panther Athletes of the Week for February 19鈥25, 2024, are Alaere Peterside (women鈥檚 track and field) and Colin Blanchard, Sidiki Diakite, Owen Headley, and John David (men鈥檚 track and field relay team).
