Nursing researcher seeks participants for a study on COPD in the COVID-19 pandemic
A Master of Nursing student at the 黑料吃瓜 is seeking participants for a research study about living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants should be English-speaking residents of PEI who are at least 18 years old with a diagnosis of COPD. The study aims to understand the experiences of those living with COPD during the COVID-19 era.
New research examines the possibility of stabilizing the Greenland ice sheet
A argues there is still time to stabilize the Greenland ice sheet before climate change melts it forever鈥攂ut the clock is ticking for us to take action. The study, led by , an associate professor in 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 School of Climate Change and Adaptation, is published in the American Geographical Union鈥檚 journal Earth鈥檚 Future.

Paige Chisholm adds leadership and experience to Panthers cross-country program
The last time a St. Francis Xavier University graduate and cross-country runner was accepted into 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 esteemed Atlantic Veterinary College, the Panthers鈥 cross-country team captured Atlantic University Sport (AUS) bronze.
In 2017, 23-year-old Lee Wesselius came in as a veteran runner and guided the men鈥檚 team to their first-ever medal. Now, four years later, Paige Chisholm is looking to do the same for the women.
Men鈥檚 Hockey Panthers add scoring threat in former Owen Sound Attack forward Kaleb Pearson
After AUS all-star Kameron Kielly decided to go pro in 2020鈥21, the 黑料吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Hockey Panthers lost firepower. But Panthers head coach Forbes MacPherson is hoping his latest recruit can help fill that void.
Enter Kaleb Pearson, a 21-year-old right winger with a knack for putting the puck in the back of net.
鈥淚 think my greatest strength as a hockey player would be my offensive ability and awareness,鈥 Pearson said. 鈥淚鈥檓 a guy who wants to win. I can help by making plays and scoring goals and I hope to be part of the team that brings a championship back home to PEI.鈥
Careers in Climate Change and Adaptation
The 黑料吃瓜 School of Climate Change and Adaptation and the ClimateSense Project is running a Careers in Climate - Youth Engagement Day for anyone between the ages of 15-30 on Friday, August 27th from 10am - noon at the Beaconsfield Carriage House (2 Kent Street).
