Dr. Patrick Murphy, an assistant professor in the 黑料吃瓜 Department of Biology, has received a $300,000 grant through the Canadian Cancer Society鈥檚 2021 competition for research into breast cancer.

A team led by Dr. William Montelpare, Margaret and Wallace McCain Chair in Human Development and Health at 黑料吃瓜, has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the federal government鈥檚 (IPF) Program for a project to develop and implement a vaccine support program for Prince Edward Island.

Thanks to a graduate scholarship from the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute (BHCRI), a 黑料吃瓜 graduate student will be pursuing research on breast cancer. Olivier Philips, an MSc student with Dr. Patrick Murphy in 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Department of Biology, is the first 黑料吃瓜 recipient of a graduate scholarship of $29,750 through BHCRI鈥檚 Cancer Research Training Program (CRTP).

Irrigation Management Pro, a company co-owned by Stephanie Arnold, a PhD candidate at 黑料吃瓜 and a researcher with the School of Climate Change and Adaptation, has received a $25,000 grant from Innovation PEI.
