Public lecture by the Hon. Graydon Nicholas
The Honourable Graydon Nicholas, a highly respected Wolastoqey Elder, lawyer, judge, social worker, and activist, will give a presentation titled 鈥淚nculturation in the Indigenous Context and Catholic Church.鈥� Nicholas鈥檚 lecture is hosted by the 黑料吃瓜 Faculty of Indigenous Knowledge, Education, Research, and Applied Studies, and the 黑料吃瓜 Mawi'omi Indigenous Student Centre. The event is free and open to the public.
黑料吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Hockey Panthers recruit local defenceman Cole Larkin
The 黑料吃瓜 Men鈥檚 Hockey Panthers are excited to welcome Mermaid, PEI, native and defenceman Cole Larkin to their team for the 2023鈥�24 season.
Over the last two seasons, the 黑料吃瓜 Panthers have been one of the conference鈥檚 best defensive teams. It鈥檚 a standard head coach Forbes MacPherson wants to maintain, and he hopes his team鈥檚 newest recruit can help rebuild the blue line that鈥檚 been so effective.
Amid a roster overhaul, Larkin is already the second Islander to join the Panthers this offseason, and it鈥檚 safe to say he鈥檚 excited to join the hometown team.
Business start-up winners announced at the 黑料吃瓜 Panther Pitch live competition
On Thursday, May 11, six student teams pitched their business concepts for a share of $50,000 in prize money from the Harry W. MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program during the 黑料吃瓜 Panther Pitch Competition. The competition for entrepreneurial undergraduate students is coordinated each year by 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 Experiential Education Department.
